We'll be focusing on history this week!

On this day (October 21) in 1949- Aldous Huxley writes George Orwell to congratulate him on the novel, 1984. If you were dictator of the world, what would you do?

Well, that was quite a week! I visited my cousins last weekend and basically had no internet access for two days. It wasn't nearly as bad as you would think. There are very few cell towers in their area, so I couldn't even call my husband when I got there. Thank God for landlines! Then I worked Monday thru Friday and by the time I punched in on Friday I already had worked 38 hours and 37 minutes. My classes start back up on Tuesday so since Friday I have been trying to finish my homework, which I must add I finished this evening which means I can relax on Monday! Or I can start the homework for the next week!

As far as being a dictator for the whole world. I can't even manage to be a dictator for my house! Everyone is always playing on my emotions and I end up losing my shit! If I get pushed to the end of my limits, I withdraw and attempt to sink into my work. If left to run the world, I would probably take on every job and attempt to finish it myself. It is like I can not trust anyone else to do it. Who else can do a job better than me. Why delegate work when I know what needs to be done and the best way to do it. I would be horrible as a world leader, sometimes I am horrible as any type of leader!

That being said I am trying to work on this habit of mine. I am attempting to delegate things when I can or need to. Just because I CAN do it doesn't mean I have to. Trying to do everything can lead to burn out and stress. I have enough of that without adding more on!
So...tomorrow is another day and I don't need to do EVERYTHING by myself.
