Preparation

The preparation for your book
is quite commendable.
Just find a quiet, out-of-way nook
to write some folks expendable.

The twists and turns of Spielberg-speak
keep readers on the edge.
The more your hero's life looks bleak
the more we'll ride the sledge.

A bear may chase to barest cliff
the child in need of Aslan's breath
to save and falling body lift
presenting hope from surest death.

The greatest days of loving Joy
bring romance to the fore.
The readers' hearts for aye employ
blest feelings we adore.

Some nerdy face and geeky soul
may find some beauty to behold,
but joy of joys, the lasting goal
is reached when words of love are told.

Just take your time and find that one,
who lives because you made her new,
then when your preparation's done,
you'll know a friendship, Oh so true!
