Quiet Moments

Quiet moments of evening refresh
weary hearts laden with busy days.
Sipping tea and bathed in music
minds unplug confusing thoughts.

A gentle night with solemn sounds
brings quiet moments to relax.
The darkened cloth of chilly temps
drives the arms to a quilted refuge.

Tattered synapses clutter our days
'mid swirling maelstroms of "urgent" tasks.
The frayed edges of a tenuous hope
beg for big-armed solace, thin-stretched release.

Wakeful sleep basks in restful waiting.
Dull gray patterns permit weary staring.
Fan blade rhythms massage the soul,
infusing peace throughout life.

Reflect.
Enjoy.
Hopeful
Be.
