Thankfulness on Thanksgiving Day

Thankfulness in all we do
Is easier said than done.
We want respect quite through and through,
but give respect we none
or in limited release.

Great thankfulness will change to gold
the words we speak and pray.
The hearts we love and ever hold
will live beyond today.

Oh, thank we all, our God and King
for grace that makes us whole.
Thanksgiving we will daily sing
from here through lasting goal.

Thanksgiving Day comes once a year,
but thankful hearts will feast
in every day through joy and tear,
eternally increased.
