It's been a very long time since I wrote on here. Mainly life got in the way of my writing and I've been M.I.A. For the past 6 to 7 years as I've been focusing on raising my two daughters and trying to build a career from scratch. Not college or Uni but in the retail world. It hasn't been easy specially in the field of building materials and hardware. It's a predominantly male environment that's slowly making a space for us women and other gender besides male. I've been fortunate to have been working there for 7 yrs and climbed steadily to management. One of the special moments I was able to experience was a trip I won through my job. They sent me to Big Sky, Montana to spend time at a Ranch owned by one of the founders of the company I worked for. I had never ridden a horse before or seen wilderness so pristine. I live in South Florida and we have tropical weather all year round. The water is bath warm, and it's usually sunny. The land is flat almost 90%. Big sky is the complete opposite. Beautiful cloudless skies, cool days and cold nights but pure crisp air. My nose bled the entire time I was there due to the low humidity and altitude. I had been grounded for at least 10 yrs before I got to go on this trip. Florida is under sea level, and the elevation in Montana was playing a number on me. The highlight of my trip were visiting Yellowstone National Park and seeing geysers, bison, elk, wolves and bears. Also riding a horse during my trip named Milkshake. He was the best. Well, I wont bore you with more details. I will mention my latest work in progress. A book named San Fernando which I hope you take the time to review as I need all the advise you could provide.
