I am a lot like you. I have a friend who lost a child, too, and same as you, all I could do was cry. If I let myself, I would get sucked down the rabbit hole of giving all my money away and crying endless tears over everyone and everything. It can be difficult to be empathetic. But it does make the world a better place when people have more empathy. I'm glad people like you exist. Someone has to care about the world.

I have a hard time with knowing whether things make sense or whether choosing to do things is wise.

I have a hard time with forgiveness, too. I think that wisdom and forgiveness go hand in glove together. But I am not entirely sure how it all works.

The more time I am alive the closer I get to seeing the truth about things. Faith is a big part of wisdom. Faith and trust in God is the answer, but I don't always see it at the time.

Very thought provoking entry - well done!

Beyond The Gates

Prompt: Beyond The Gates. Use this opening line for your Prompt today.

Beyond The Gates. What lies beyond the gates? Animals at the zoo. Pets. Maybe a storage area. Rich people's homes.

I watch a new soap Beyond The Gates. A black cast with some white people. It is a soap opera. A drama. The Duprees are an elderly black couple who have grown children and grandchildren. They live in a mansion beyond the gates. Love triangles. Affairs. A mother and daughter come to live in town and the mother is evil and breaks up her bios daughter's father and his wife's marriage. A black doctor gambles and his white wife sells real estate and may go broke paying her husband's debt. A black girl is gay. A gay male couple. A typical soap opera but I love soaps I always have. I think everyone has secret lives and we don't all live behind the gates or beyond. Sometimes we hide behind gates and that means our inner self. Something to think about.
