You are my greatest treasure and I love you. *Heart*

I am happily married and my life has been abundantly blessed with a wonderful loving family. My blog is about the tapestry of two lives that God has permanently woven together by His love and our journey through our many trials, triumphs, and the God-size miracles we have witnessed throughout our daily lives with our strong faith in Christ.

This afternoon I was looking outside the slider glass doors watching the thousands of crinkled parched leaves swirling in the air with snowflakes mixed in and was noticing the major changes we have experienced over the past 48 hours. Suddenly our temperatures here have plummeted from an unseasonably warm 72 degrees to a blustery cold 30 degrees. There is a bone-chilling moisture that can be felt as this artic cold front passes through our area.

With winds gusting at 50 mph and howling, this is the type of winter weather that I prefer to hibernate inside from. I am not one who is brave enough to endure these elements when they are this extreme. Go ahead feel free to call me a sissy.

Minutes ago, our lights, and television blinked off and came back on again, and we heard a loud unusual popping noise outside. We quickly raced to the window to find an electrical transformer on a utility pole on fire with bright blue and orange flames and sparks shooting out. It was a tad scary watching the zapping fireworks display for those few seconds.

I immediately dialed the 24 Hour Emergency Service Hotline of our local electric company to notify them of this potential problem. I feared that at any moment we would have a power outage leaving us without heat (or Internet). To my surprise an automated answering system answers the phone, the recording informs me I have reached the Emergency Service Hotline, and their office is now closed and that I should call back later during regular scheduled working hours. I just shook my head. Huh?

I may call them back tomorrow and ask exactly what their hours are for this 24-hour service.
Keep safe everyone, bundle up, snuggle up, and keep warm.
