| DAY 1885: January 13, 2018 Prompt: Have a Blessed Day. This is a greeting that is commonly used. What does a Blessed Day mean to you? A day in which nothing bad happens, and good things overflow. Blessed days are those upon which you awaken to face the new day. Lets face it, life is not always peachy, and it is often harder than hades. Every day we have with our loved ones is a blessed day. Seeing your sister in the hospital fighting for her life after a brain hemorrhage, Surely is not a blessed day, but to see her talking and aware is encouraging. Encouraging because there is hope and you can continue praying for her. Days of hope are blessings until in the end the battle is lost and life ends. Day in which the sails are let out of your heart, soul, and mind. Aware that finally you will no longer be able to communicate with your sis. Yet going through the whole process of any giving day can have it's challenges, sometimes it's how you look at it and you can see it is a blessed day, knowing your sister is no longer suffering as of 01-09-2018. A blessed day is many things to many people. To some it's just a shallow greeting with little significant investment in the saying of the phrase. For others that day they come to realize that life is so precious and fleeting, becomes the most blessed day of the rest of their life. | Bearing Witness! Bearing witness! This morning while at work diabetic nerve pain was astronomical. I stopped for a moment and asked the Lord to take the pain away. A few minutes later I felt an appreciable cessation of the pain level. Even now after walking the dog and sitting down for a few minutes the pain is still less intense than it usually is after i get home from a long 10 hour shift. Lesson learned: Don't wait to pray first. Even at 3, 4, 5 a.m. the Lord is on the case and will answer your prayers in ways you would never imagine. Copenator out! |

| Okay it's Father's day. Happy day to those who are. However in the midst of the day remember those who cannot be fathers. Those who have lost their fathers and can no longer wish them a happy dad's day. Enjoy the day but also remember to be aware of others who are at a loss as to why all the festivities. My biological father is remembered by his second family in another city. They're without their father too. My step father., my father true is no longer here. I miss him and I sure my siblings do as well. He wasn't perfect, but he was a dad through and through. Celebrate the day and cherish their love. And help others who are at a loss for all the festivities. |
| "Science fiction is the most important literature in the history of the world, because it's the history of ideas, the history of our civilization birthing itself." - Ray Bradbury, science fiction writer Use this quote to inspire a story, a poem, or some other type of blog entry. Science fiction, is real science just not discovered yet. Causing one to think and ponder until they at last get it. It doesn't have to happen in a laboratory, with all the tubes and boiling. Even as the next genius is reading a SciFi masterpiece ideals begin roiling. Now the seminal seed is planted and all we have to do is sit and wait. Cajoling and encouraging the next big invention from it's perch. Easing it into a plan and voila; we have Science Fiction that has become reality and the next big thing is ready to be marketed. Here's to hoping it's not too expensive, so we non-genius types can benefit from it's invention. |
| Does pain and illness have a purpose? Do we always have to face adversity? Does violence have to make things so difficult? Is there hope to stand up and be the opposite? Hope that illness will eventually pass. Hope to know that love trumps adversity. Hope to know others stand with you. Hope in knowing that God has created you for good and not bad; and that you are not alone. There is hope! There is love that overcomes. There is hope even when we can't see past the pain, illness, adversity, and violence because mankind is created in the image of God and He calls us to rest under His protection and Love, knowing there is hope! Amen and amen. |
| How do you feel about the rising demand for audio books? Is this a good thing or bad thing for literature? As a writer, have you considered reading your work for audio books, podcasts or youtube? If an audio book can reflect the heart of the story being told then it's okay. Personally I still like reading and viewing the story on paper. On the screen as well. Overall I think it is a bad thing. Because those who rely on listening all the time lose the senses that might otherwise be engaged in the written form. Especially if the book is an illustrated book originally. The listener can stop the reading and reflect on what may have been said, but they miss the texture and feel of those words that might have impacted them. Reading is a personal, multi-sensual experience. You can't get that from listening to a tape. Granted for those who have lost their sight and rely on the other senses to experience life the audio book is a good fit. People learn in so many different ways that there are good arguments for audio books and the written form. Depending on your situation it is important to be engaged in life one way or another. Therefore I'll have to say no I don't think I would record any of my material in audio book format simply because I'm old school and my voice cannot tell the whole story. And that is the key. To get the whole story from the source of the matter. |
| Prompt: How do you chill out or relax when you're too tired to think? Can you be too tired to think? I will often listen to the Bible on YouVersion. www.youversion.com; and by the time that is done I feel relaxed enough to get some sleep. Sometimes my mind is spinning so fast that I just have to stop what I'm doing and write it out. A lot of what I write that looks like it is all a jumble is the result of that; writing it out; and then I do revise it when I have time. You can't be too tired to think, because you're doing it all the time, but there comes the time when what you're thinking makes no sense. I've experienced that but don't remember what I did to get past it. More than likely I came here and read someone else's thoughts through reviewing and suddenly all seems a little calmer in my mind. Relaxing is one thing that some people just don't do. I'm not one of those people. I have to stop and smell the roses, eat or even listen to the Bible, because if I don't I am far more tired than I should be. I don't believe in meditation; but I do believe in meditating on the Word of God; doing this is also a way for me to relax. There's something alive in the Word and if you give it a chance you will see that it is here to your benefit. You are beloved and that's the truth! Copenator out! B.C.O.Frs united! | I will write anything but "something." "Something" is so vague and hollow. It needs to be "something" more, an addition to the thing. The writer in me want's to fill up that which is shallow. That which has no pen meeting paper, Screen that is blank and without purpose. What can you do with "something" beloved?
