Mai Pen Rai and other life lessons from Thailand. is a blog that I started for the 30-Day Blogging Challenge. I hope it takes off and becomes something a bit bigger though :).
Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think!
Sounds like it's a whole new level of awkwardness, much like having your parents over to your first apartment for the first time and catching you with booze in the fridge. Even when you're legal, it's still awkward.
Yeah, I'd be uncomfortable. I'd probably try to avoid it. I like your thinking though..."let's do something risky, and maybe we won't have to talk about it...it'll just happen".
That's what I love about Thailand. There's a little bit of something for everyone. I've managed to avoid the nightlife for nearly a year haha.
If you're looking for some culture you should check out Northern Thailand. You'll find some pretty cool cultural experiences up there. I'm living at the base of some mountains in Central Thailand and it's absolutely gorgeous. It's not super cultural, but -- you still get the Thai feeling .
America is expensive. Norway was brutal. Costa Rica ain't cheap. I've heard lots of good things from travelers to Thailand. Unfortunately, I'm not a partier and not too into a beach. If a can find a small city with culture...
The price seems more-than-right. May as well check flights...
