Meditations of a christizen (christian-citizen)upon today's topics.

I, Brother James, cultivated through my imagination 'The Word Courier's Journal'. It is but one of several literary efforts so conceived to include the "Word", the mind altering, eye opening, lifesaving Gospel of Jesus Christ into the everyday conversation on those things deemed relevant to readers. I and all other followers of the Lord are called to witness. Jesus said "Go therefore and teach all nations..." (see Matthew 28:19 KJV Holy Bible) Here lies my modest attempt to introduce the unknowing people to the Lord and immerse they who know Him in discussion with respect to His outlook on all that matters.

Our obituaries are typed on paper and or another surface i.e. computer after we pass on. However, the obituary at death is actually written in life. It's what we do here and now that determines this.

Death doesn't remake those who lived life as aints into eternal life saints. We must do right to finish write,

It happened on a Wednesday. I'm sure that day like today was the first Wednesday of the month. However, my old memory is not clear as to the exact date of this 21st anniversary event that sprung forth the announcement that sent me packing…again.

I say again due to my having moved from Chicago’s south side to Evanston during the last week of November that year. That move is something I talked about in an earlier ‘Word Courier’ post. In that entry, I spoke of how the Lord turned around a real turkey of a holiday into new beginnings. (“Thanksgiving Testimony” November 27th, 2013)

So, what was that announcement? The big fish of our small but partitioned walled pond informed us upon unceremoniously marching us to a central location that our cubicles and the site they rested in were to be shut down. And shut down for good.

Now of course we were able to transfer to a larger to but less cozy and more corporate location. I hadn’t been there a year when this happened. Furthermore, I saw this blue blood insurer as a rare corporate entity with which I could envision long term association. So, I transferred.

The commute from Evanston had been a breeze. Moreover, I really liked living near the town’s Northwestern University campus. Although the new commute nearly doubled in distance and time from the old, I was in no hurry to leave my recently adopted home turf. But eventually I did.

This move led me back to my native town. The new commute to the new location was slashed in half. And all through this one thing remained intact. Sadie, my ’00 Chevrolet Cavalier blazed the highways of I-55 (the Stevenson) I-94 (Edens Expressway) weather going to or from borderburb i.e. border/suburb Evanston or Southwest Suburban satellite hometown keeping me intact and employed.

The move eventually caused other changes. But my Sadiemobile was the one constant.
