Welcome to Almosta Blog, the stories that happen every day here on Almosta Ranch. Come on in and be welcome, draw up a chair and set a spell on the front porch with me and my sweet wife, Melinda, better known as Mel.

What you will find here are stories about our many animals, and our daily life on a working ranch. Not the most riviting of subjects but I will try to hold your interest.

Happy to see you back here again. I have missed your writings. I too quit blogging and have no idea why I did. Maybe one soon I will clean out the cobwebs in mine too.

I still blog... but I use different two blogs at least. My daily life is boring when I'm not traveling so my old old blog houses mostly poetry now.

I find that I'm losing energy as well.

And I don't want my blog to just become political rants... I have facebook for that (although I should copy and paste the best in put them in an opinion blog I also neglect).

Age is part of the reason I try to avoid mirrors. Ignorance is bliss and all that.

Beautifully stated. We are the same age... and I have a similar shuffle (although mine is from blockage). Still, I look in the mirror... and cringe at who looks back... but more importantly, I don't have the oomph.

I love memories like that! Mmmmm, fresh butter...so delicious. The problem I have is once I get the memory on paper, it has that shabby-worn look and isn't a good replicate of the nugget in my mind. Fortunately, you're better at making it pretty on paper.

New story

I just put a new short story in my portfolio and I would really appreciate it if you could take a moment and let me know what you think about it. "Invalid Item"

It is about a three minute read and I hope to add more such stories in the future as I try to reconnect with my writing roots. thank you, in advance.
