Just for the record, as someone who lives in Los Angeles (and relatively close to some of the "hot spot" areas), the protests both prior to and during the "No Kings" events were neither riots nor insurrections.

There were definitely some incidents of specific individuals taking things too far (like the widespread images being circulated of a couple driverless cars being set on fire), but the protest activity was — and continues to be — entirely within the ability of the LAPD and LASD to manage without the need for additional reinforcements from the federal government. The leadership of both of those law enforcement organizations (which are two of the largest and best-funded in the country) has said as much, and I've had friends at those protests who have all reported that the activity was mostly nonviolent aside from those few isolated incidents.

It's definitely a serious situation to be sure, but I thought it was worth commenting on because Los Angeles is not experiencing nearly the level of chaos and disorder as certain media outlets and political operatives would like you to believe. Take it from someone who lives here and is able to go about their business as usual!

Yes, do you blog now? I scrolled down and I didn't see any comments or likes. That would be discouraging for me. I wonder if you change the rating if that would help you get exposure. Someone else said the other day that their blog wasn't listed as active and the answer was the blog's rating.

Government shutdown!

What to write, what to write? Well, the Democrats have voted again to keep the government shut down. Quite frankly, I am fed up with their antics. House Speaker, Mike Johnson, was very aggravated himself and he told the media this. And according to some Democratic adds, they are blaming the Republicans for the shutdown! I started praying for this very thing, that the government will open. Apparently, by the first week in November, SNAP will be halted and possibly Medicare coverage. I rely on both, so I am of course very concerned. The primary reason the Dems are not voting to open the government is because of a ludicrous piece of law that gives at least five trillion dollars for illegal immigrants. These expenditures would allow sex changes for illegals and free healthcare as well as other services that put illegals before US citizens. And in similar news, the so called "No Kings Rally" was a flop. lol. There was this reporter who was interviewing a protester asking a woman why she is partaking in the rally and she was clueless! Talk about ignorance. The No Kings sentiment is akin to the Antifa rioters that have had multiple violent incidents within the past year. On a positive note, the Supreme Court has blocked those radical judges who thought they could override the executive branch and keep trump from deploying the National Guard to crime ridden cities. And you have to wonder why these rogue mayors do not want crime to get cleaned up. I am dumbfounded! I think the reason is pure and simple-they hate Trump with no viable reason.

Moving along, I am getting squat hours at work. I'm talking four hours a week every other week! So I have taken it upon myself to aim for getting a life and health insurance license as a person who is versed in those subjects so that I can sit down with individuals and give them expert advice to the best financial firewalls and supports. Giving peace of mind to folks would be a rewarding career. There is a discrepancy involved with the few agencies that are non-captive that I am looking into. A non-captive agency is a firm that gives services from multiple carriers.

Anyway, this is getting long, so I will be back soon!

Been a long time!

As usual, it has been eons since I last did an entry. SOOO much has happened-specifically in the national news. Hammas has recently delivered the imprisoned hostages. This has been such a lingering issue for years and the released was tailored by the president. In other news, today is the No King's protest across the nation. There have been violent outbreaks and more could ensue at night. On the scientific spectrum, A1/ATLAS is careening near the Earth. It is sending uneasy ripples across the astronomical sector. Apparently, this cosmic object is more like a self-propelled spacecraft than a blunt, randomly traveling debris. As a Christian, I don't know what to think of it. There are in fact non-human beings that live among us. However, they are not corporeal like us-they are metaphysical. Need I hint at what I am inferring about?-angels, either good or evil.

On a personal note, I really want my mom to get onboard with my getting my life and health insurance licenses. I am looking forward to working for this IMO or Independent Marketing Organization. I am seeking a side gig for a while ever since I have been receiving very poor hours at my regular job as a barista. I do enjoy this job when I know how to make the drink displayed on the monitor. But my side gig idea sounds attractive too. It's more than just handing out life and insurance coverage, but a trained job that allows an agent to sit in front of a family, businesses or individual, and explain and simplify things like wealth building, real estate funding, college funding and retiring planning as well other unique financial items.
