Just shooting the poop with Lori

He travels the world on the backs of others
Insignificant in his stature and size
His journey carries no mission
Randomly roaming at the will of his host
Sated enough to never question his trek
Life is an open adventure without worry
If the excitement of his dusty trail dulls
Another bus awaits to grant passage
With a furry friend to carry him home
Ah the wonderful life of a flea

Long time no blog peeps. It has been a rough week with work and no sleep. Pulling the every other night schedule is intense. People who do not work nights will never understand the strain on the body and soul of the nurse trying to flip from days to nights at the drop of the hat. i am zombie-like most of my hours. Hoodies and sweat pants are my friends. Prepare to be blasted with a foghorn if you ring my doorbell before noon. My dogs have a very specific elimination schedule based on my sleep cycles.I have never managed to train my family members about calling while I sleep I have received calls at ten in the morning asking why I am still asleep. At that point I have been snoozing for only one hour and it is always a toss up on whether my reply will be printable material. Night-shifters are a different breed. We may seem like cranky crustaceans but if you befriend us we are tried and true loyal pals til the end. I have yet to meet one of us who carried a stick in the nether regions while we walk!
