I need someplace to write down the often confusing thoughts that enter my mind, while my stories give voice to the characters that wander through periodically, this is the place for my voice. Join me if you wish, comment if you wish, all are welcomed and appreciated.
Here, in middle Ontario, Canada the snow has decided to bluster almost non-stop. The accumulation is more than noticeable. I have often wondered if snow has magnetic properties. One snowflake attracts another and so forth. The word flurries is as misnomer. It should be furies.
Thank you for the reminders. My neighbor said we can expect 2 feet of snow this weekend. I checked and it doesn't seem like we'll get that much, but better to be prepared than not.
Well here in coastal Texas. They sand and salt the roads in dangerous areas. If it's bad schools close and people are advised to stay home. We wraps pipes and do what we can to keep pipes from freezing.
Here in Dayton where I am now..we have a generac generator that powers brothers house..barn..my rv..we don't loose power. We have a well and we leave water dripping on freezing night's.
I have stayed in the south because I dont like cold weather..but it's coming here anyway.

We had a small amount of snow, but with winds gusting to 50 mph, there was blowing and drifting. Our temperatures didn't quite reach zero.
We get blessed with another three inches today, and again, the winds are supposed to gust near fifty. It's also another frigid day with a windchill factor of -35oF.
No, Not That Bull!?! I'm talking about a real live escaped bull on the loose.
Apparently, this handsome fellow escaped earlier this week —
And has been on the lamb ever since.
The strangest part of the whole story is that this isn't the first time a bovine has escaped under similar circumstances. This exact thing happened around this time last year.
You can read a bit about this year's run-away bull here:
