The Lord doesn't always speak in an audible voice, but often in nudges, moving the heart.
The Lord is a gentleman. He is patient. He is longsuffering|
He often remains silent, while we are speaking, but He will not remain silent forever.
He can be grieved and quenched when we refuse His message.
When nothing else works to get our attention,
then He may allow "...the pestilence that walketh in darkness;..."
to come into our lives to urge us to "...abide under the shadow of the Almighty."
When He gets our attention, and we begin to cry, "Daddy, save me," (Romans 8:15, KJV)
then "...I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him."
These selections come from Psalm 91. Many times my thoughts return to my childhood
with the reading of this psalm. When I was a little boy, I was wont to hide behind
my earthly daddy when dangerous or unfamiliar situations arose in my life.
My Daddy on earth was much bigger and much stronger than I was.
How much greater, today, as a grown man, that I can look to my Heavenly Father,
Who is infinitely bigger and stronger than my earthly father ever was.
As children, we were very good at "reading" our parents.
They gave us certain looks, which told us how to act without ever speaking words.
"You better not speak right now. I am so angry about what you have done."
"I love you, Dear One. Come here. Let me give you a hug."
Myriad were the looks in between these two extremes on the continuum.
The Lord in like manner says, "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye." (Psalm 32:8, KJV)
Earthly parents would often touch us on the shoulder in public,
especially when we were "acting up." When our eyes met,
they would simply hold up one index finger, waving it back and forth.
This meant, "Stop! Think about what you are doing!
Change your behavior before the hand of judgment falls on the seat of knowledge!"
Of course, at other times a big, strong, gentle arm would wrap slowly around our chests,
drawing us back to them in a warm embrace, simply meaning, "I love you,...just because."
The Lord in His inimitable ways gives us His Own Divine Nudges.
"1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:
he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel
shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is thy keeper:
the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil:
he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in
from this time forth, and even for evermore."
(Psalm 121:1-8, KJV)
Mine eyes are gazing at the hills.
My help will come from there.
Such Lordly Help, my heart He fills.
All things He made with care.
He will not let your foot be moved.
He keeps you, day and night.
He keepeth Israel, whom He loves.
No sleep, nor loss of might.
The Lord, thy Keeper through thy days.
The shading Lord on your strong side.
The sun won't beat down on your way.
The moon won't harm where you abide.
The Lord preserves you from all ill,
preserving all your soul.
The Lord preserves your going will
from now 'til ever whole.
1. We have greater reason to expect help when we look up to the Lord than when we look at the problems, that are scrabbling on our lower torso for unnecessary attention. These problems act like untrained puppies, who jump up on their own in the emotion of "See me! See me!"
2. The Lord helps me. He is the Creator of heaven and earth. How is it, that He can't take care of the issues, that come into the life of one human, me?
3. The Lord won't let anybody push you around. You won't have to move your foot in order to maintain balance. Your foot will remain strong in a sure foothold. The One, Who keeps you won't get drowsy.
4. Look at this in a strong and focused way! He, God, is the One, Who keeps Israel safe in every way. He can be counted upon to never be drowsy, nor incapacitated for a time through sleep.
5. The Lord keeps and secures every aspect of your life. He is your Keeper. He is your Protector. He is your very Body Guard. The Lord is like a big tree, that shades you on your strongest side from the searing heat of the noonday sun. Your right hand, your strength, will be protected by the Lord from any and every attack of the physical world and from the people, who live in it.
6. The sun will not beat down upon you with its terrible heat throughout the daytime. The moon won't beat down upon you with its bright lights at night, causing you to become lunatic in some way and on some level.
7. The Lord's preservation and protection will keep you from being spoiled by all (aka every kind of) evil, (including Trick or Treating on Halloween. My footnote.) The Lord will preserve your soul because we tend to do wrong when we try to experience life, "like everybody else."
8. The Lord knows how to (and knowing how to WILL) preserve (aka prevent the spoiling of) the places you go, the things you see, the things you do, and how you return home, preventing any untoward spiritual influences from catching a ride our your own dear spirit, and thus harming your home any and every way. This kind of strong protection from the Lord has already been going on, even if you didn't know it, but it definitely starts today, continuing on throughout Eternity.
We don't always get to do everything we would like to do in this life. We often feel sad because we feel like we are missing something enjoyable. However, I sense, that in Eternity when the Lord shows us step by step how He guided us throughout the entirety of our lives, we will cling to Him for Joy at the myriad ways in which he protected us, preserving us from greater spoilage of our very souls and spirits than that which He did allow for our training.
It seems like the sins in which we have participated in this life have often been transformed into some sort of vaccine, giving us a small experience of the illness of Sin to prevent us from getting completely overcome by the awfulness and worst levels of Sin to the ruination of our lives.
Praise the Lord for watching over our lives, keeping us from ourselves.
May the Glory of the Lord remain your rearguard on this very dark night.

More like Jesus, I would be
to live, and breathe, and move.
More His Blessed Presence see
in ev'ry way I love.
More like Jesus, I would serve
to give my life away.
I'd meet their needs and never swerve
through things I do and say.
More like Jesus, past my sin,
fore'er restored as whole.
Other souls, I'd always win.
Salvation, Christ's own goal.
More like Jesus gives me peace
for naught have I to give.
From ev'ry wrong, I'd know release.
For Christ to always live.
More like Jesus shows Self grace
for kindness starts at home.
I'm living in this earthly place,
and He for me has come.
Does Jesus like an ice cream tub?
Would He dive in with glee?
I think He would. So, show some love
for fish He'd ask of thee.
He rose, again, out of the grave,
and saw the fishers strive
with nets, and fish, and life they gave
for food to help them live.
When first they met, He asked a Truth,
"Have you some fish to eat?"
"He rose, again!" dumbfounded youth.
To eat a fish a treat!
More like Jesus eating food.
Forever friendships blest.
The gift of fellowship's not rude.
It is the joy, the best.
More like Jesus made by hand,
the body, spirit, all.
Eternally, they're all his Plan
for pleasure in his Call.

|Prompt: "Why is it important that we stay dedicated to God? It is so easy to walk away. Why is important we stay on track?"
Basically, the question for today is "Why should we remain Christians throughout the rest of our lives after we are saved?"
There are similar questions we could ask, that have the same answer if we think logically.
1. Why should I remain human after the day of my birth?
2. Why should we remain married "for as long as we both shall live"?
3. Why should I remain a brother to my sibling, forever?
4. Why should I remain a son to my parents, forever?
5. Why should I remain a caucasian man for the rest of my natural life?
6. Why should I remain a man for the rest of my natural life?
7. Why should I remain a father to my child, forever?
To these and to the original prompt for today's post, I declare and proclaim, "I must remain all of these things because all of these things constitute who I am."
1. I remain a Christian because a Christian is who I am. Once I was saved, my DNA was forever changed into the DNA of a son of God. I cannot stop being a Christian because I never chose to become a Christian. I merely agreed with the Lord's choice of me to be His son at the moment, that He woke me up from my spiritual death-sleep. Once enlivened by 200 joules of Holy Spirit conviction, I had a choice. I could embrace Jesus Christ of Nazareth as my Lord and Savior, using the Gift of Faith He had just placed into my hands, my heart, my spirit, or I could allow that gift of Faith to drop into nothingness, falling back into the death-sleep of unbelief, remaining unchanged at my very core. The Lord often does not take one "No" for an answer. Just as an EMT will cry, "Clear!" multiple times shooting 200 joules of electricity into a dead heart to bring back an unconscious victim, the Saving Lord Jesus will often shoot 200 joules of Holy Spirit conviction into a person's dead spirit, until the EMT or the Lord Jesus realizes, that there is no point in continuing to call a dead body or spirit to life, finally, looking at a watch, a clock, or a phone, logging the time of death as once and for all. Once I embraced Jesus as my Lord and Savior with the very Faith He gave me to embrace Him (Ephesians 2:8-10, KJV,) my spiritual DNA was changed, and now I can never not be a Christian, forever. The Lord Jesus is stuck with me, according to John 6:37,44. There can be no "buyer's remorse." Praise the Lord, that will never be in question, either, based on the very Character of Jesus Himself.
2. I remain human because human is who and what I am. This body can stop functioning at some point, but I can never stop being a human. Humanity is stuck with me. My DNA ties me to Adam and Eve and to every other human throughout the entirety of HIStory.
3. I remain married to my wife because we twain made a covenant with God to be one flesh in His Presence. To ever not be married to her would be death for each of us to the very core of our beings. I remain her husband because that is who I am. My very DNA has been changed to be united with her. We traveled the valley marked by the "D" word over a decade ago. We were on the brink, and our hearts nearly died as a result of that untenable decision, but by the Grace of God we were both delivered, restored, and created into new persons we could never have hoped to have been without the amazing Help of God. Now, she's stuck with me, until the Lord calls us Home to be with Him. Honestly, at that point in the Presence of the Lord, she's stuck with me, forever.
4. I remain the brother of my sibling because we are joined by the double-helix strands of DNA. I am human. I am the brother. That dear one is stuck with me, forever.
5. I remain the son of my parents because we are joined together by the double-helix strands of DNA. I am human. I am their son. These dear ones are stuck with me, forever.
6. I remain a caucasian man because the original 46 chromosomes I have been given by my original parents, Adam and Eve, show themselves in me as a caucasian man. It is my ethnicity. It is not my race, since there is only one human race. (End of discussion on my part.) I cannot change not ethnicity, nor would I for any reason, if I could because the Lord Jesus chose for me to be a light-skinned, caucasian, Gentile man for His Own Purposes in HIStory. Praise the Lord, He has redeemed this Gentile, grafting me into the vine, named Israel as a new Jewish man for the Messiah, but I will always be a light-skinned, caucasian man. The world is stuck with me as a light-skinned, caucasian man. End of story.
7. I remain a man because I was created to be a man. There is only one me, and that one me will always be a man. The world is stuck with this man. End of story.
8. I remain the father to my child because we are joined by the double-helix strands of DNA. I am human. I am the father. That dear one is stuck with me, forever.
We must come to the point, that we see, that we are Christians when the Lord of Glory calls us to be so, not at a time of our own choosing. (John 6:44, KJV) When God, the Father chooses for a human to belong to His beloved Son, Jesus of Nazareth, then He draws that human with the irresistible cords of the Holy Spirit’s conviction, until that dear human is saved from the guttermost to the uttermost. (John 6:37, KJV)
Once I am saved, I can no more stop being a Christian than I can stop being any of these other things without death on some level, such as emotional, spiritual, and/or physical. Since further spiritual death has been precluded by the new birth, then that's out! Since physical death, simply removes my sin-nature, then after death, I can experience the Christ-Life more fully than I ever could experience it on Earth. So, then even physical death cannot stop me from being a Christian. I cannot take my own self out of the Father's Hands. I am secure beyond anyone's ability to do anything about that. The Lord decreed Covenant with Himself is binding. Not even He can change me from being a Christian, based on the oath He adjured to Himself.
In all of these things, the world may call me a stubborn dogmatist, and I will joyfully plead, "Guilty." You may be able to thump my head, but you can't change my mind. When I was a kid, we would have said, "Science declares me to be this way." This aging man declares still, today, "Science declares me to be this way." End of Discussion.
|Promise #1 - Don't worry about evil people because God's got this.
"1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb."
Promise #2 - Trust in the Lord as a good doer. You will have a place to live and food to eat.
"3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed."
Promise #3 - Focus on the Lord, and the results will be good.
"4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."
Promise #4 - The Lord will make His righteous one shine brightly.
"6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday."
Promise #5 - Rest in the Lord. The future of His children is secure. The future of the others is not.
"7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth."
Promise #6 - The Lord reserves justice against wicked people.
"10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be."
Promise #7 - People of strength under control will own the Earth and enjoy peace.
"11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."
Promise #8 - The Lord laughs at the irony of wicked people, who try to hurt the upright, only to be defeated by their own devices.
"12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. 13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. 14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. 15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken."
Promise #9 - The Lord takes care of the righteous, and the Lord defeats the wicked.
"16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. 17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. 18 The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. 19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. 20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away."
Promise #10 - The blessed inherit the Earth. The cursed are woefully punished.
"21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off."
Promise #11 - The good man loves the Lord. Problems may come, but the Lord keeps him going.
"23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand."
Promise #12 - The righteous person has food to eat, and the protection of the Lord. That person's child is blessed, too.
"25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. 26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed."
Promise #13 - "Do good, and live forever." (Of course, no one can "do good" without a redeemed/transformed heart, which is made clean by the Blood of the Lamb.)
"27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore."
Promise #14 - The Lord is right. He provides a place and protection for His people, who live in Him forever.
"28 For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. 29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever."
Promise #15 - The righteous person is wise because he hides God's Word in his heart. God won't let this dear one fall."
"30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. 31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide."
Promise #16 - The wicked is out-to-get the righteous, but God won't let this happen.
"32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. 33 The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.". (Romans 8:1)
Promise #17 - Those, who wait on the Lord and do things God's way, will have a place and get to see God's judgment against the wicked.
"34 Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
Promise #18 - Wicked people often have a lot of power in this life, but they won't be remembered throughout Eternity.
"35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found."
Promise #19 - Take note of the man, who is right with God. That man (or woman) will have a peaceful end throughout Eternity.
"37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace."
Promise #20 - Sinners have nothing to look forward to, but an Eternity of destruction.
"38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off."
Promise #21 - Righteous people are saved by the Lord. Difficult times may come, but the Lord will protect His righteous ones.
"39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble. 40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him."
(Psalm 37, KJV)
Bottom Line: This life is the best a wicked person can hope to enjoy in the entirety of his or her eternal existence. This life is, also, the worst a righteous person can possibly endure throughout the entirety of his or her eternal existence.
In my conversations with atheists, I have asked, "What's the best you can hope to live? A hundred years, give or take? You, also, expect to be worm food, and unremembered for Eternity. Yet, even if I were to suffer for a hundred years, my pain would have an end. This will be followed by Eternal JOY without anything bad ever happening, again. You, on the other hand, get the good with the bad here. Afterward, you will suffer forever. If you are right, then you will never remember me and my shame on Earth. If I am right, the memory of you will be nonexistent, or at the very least, not a burden."
Ultimately, the end of all of the wicked of the world from the highest spiritual entities all the way down to the lowest religious person, who has not accepted Jesus as his or her personal Savior and Lord will find their defeat predicted in Revelation 19-20.
Please, receive the Salvation of the Lord this very day,
before it is everlastingly TOO LATE.

Prompt: "Proverbs 1:31-33
31. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way,
and be filled with their own devices.
32. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them,
and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
33. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely,
and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
This concludes chapter 1. What do you think these verses mean?"
"They eat the fruit of their own way,
devising plans so fully full.
The turning face themselves will slay
as ones, who live for money's pull.
"The fruit they eat is selfish plump.
The plans they make have inward eyes.
The turning ways the simple thump.
Prosperity the soul denies.
"But whoso listens to the Lord
shall rest in quiet, free from fear.
The Truth of life is from His Word,
and evil hordes are from him clear."
Verse #31 - Self-centered people have plans, that serve themselves. That's all they think about.
Verse #32 - These self-centered, foolish, simple-minded people turn away from God. In turning away from God, they ultimately destroy themselves. What appears to be prosperity for them, is actually the road to ruin.
Verse #33 - People, who listen to and obey the voice of Wisdom, which is the personification of one of the character traits of God Himself, have a safe place to live in the heart of God. There is peace and rest in their own hearts because the fear of evil cannot dwell in the same place, that the Lord of Glory lives.
The hope and desire of every human heart is to enter into the place of ultimate rest. (Hebrews 4:9) That hope is fulfilled, only when the human comes to Jesus Christ for Salvation throughout Time and Eternity.

He speaks just what He needs to say,

The Father’s love may cause us pain
to call us to return.
He chastens all He loves in Hope,
that truly we may learn.
The discipline will instant be
compared to Love He holds.
The frowning clouds will all be gone,
and left will be the gold.

|There is a great account of HIStory in the Old Testament, regarding the ancient nation of Israel, and the way the Lord saved them on one very important occasion without a fight, and without the loss of even one life.
May the Lord be gracious to the United States of America, saving us from the wicked hordes of thieves, that have come against the Freedom-loving people of our nation.
My commentary on this section of Scripture is small and only at the beginning of this post since the Bible is so clear in this account. May the Lord fight for His people, again, in this Presidential Election, causing the Democrats to not understand how badly they have treated themselves and this whole nation until the Election is completely certified, and President Donald J. Trump has been declared our President, once again, reelected to give us four more years of Grace.
May we be wise as we live out the Grace the Lord has given to us. May the Lord stop the devices of these dear souls, who are doing bad things, when they try to cause great social unrest against the peaceful-loving people of these United States.
We are not sinless, but confessing our sins to the Lord, many of us have been restored to right standing with Him. May this remnant be enough to save our nation, which is so in need of restored unity and revival. So many people in this country still need to be saved. May He save them in the upcoming days, weeks, months, and years.
Now. Hear the Word of the Lord.
"8 When the king of Aram was at war with Israel, he would confer with his officers and say, “We will mobilize our forces at such and such a place.”
9 But immediately Elisha, the man of God, would warn the king of Israel, “Do not go near that place, for the Arameans are planning to mobilize their troops there.” 10 So the king of Israel would send word to the place indicated by the man of God. Time and again Elisha warned the king, so that he would be on the alert there.
11 The king of Aram became very upset over this. He called his officers together and demanded, “Which of you is the traitor? Who has been informing the king of Israel of my plans?”
12 “It’s not us, my lord the king,” one of the officers replied. “Elisha, the prophet in Israel, tells the king of Israel even the words you speak in the privacy of your bedroom!”
13 “Go and find out where he is,” the king commanded, “so I can send troops to seize him.”
And the report came back: “Elisha is at Dothan.” 14 So one night the king of Aram sent a great army with many chariots and horses to surround the city.
15 When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha.
16 “Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!” 17 Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.
18 As the Aramean army advanced toward him, Elisha prayed, “O Lord, please make them blind.” So the Lord struck them with blindness as Elisha had asked.
19 Then Elisha went out and told them, “You have come the wrong way! This isn’t the right city! Follow me, and I will take you to the man you are looking for.” And he led them to the city of Samaria.
20 As soon as they had entered Samaria, Elisha prayed, “O Lord, now open their eyes and let them see.” So the Lord opened their eyes, and they discovered that they were in the middle of Samaria.
21 When the king of Israel saw them, he shouted to Elisha, “My father, should I kill them? Should I kill them?”
22 “Of course not!” Elisha replied. “Do we kill prisoners of war? Give them food and drink and send them home again to their master.”
23 So the king made a great feast for them and then sent them home to their master. After that, the Aramean raiders stayed away from the land of Israel."

"'Tis in the Lord I put my trust:

The source is sadly all our sin.
Great loss when life is through.

Attacks on Truth have been deployed.
What choice is made by you?
"The Lord is in His Holy Place,
His Throne in Heav'n Above.
His Eyes behold our need of Grace.
We children need His Love.
"The Lord, He tries the righteous ones.
The wicked feel His Hate.
The ones He saves are all His sons.
The lost ones call too late.
"Upon the wicked He shall rain

The Lord is the One I trust. Why should I even consider listening to someone, who tells me to fly away like a little scared bird to a high mountain far away from the issues of humans when God has specifically called me to be "salt and light" in my world?
These terrible enemies, who are 180 degrees opposite of the goodness of the Lord, have a compound bow in hiding, waiting in the very purpose of shooting an arrow through the heart of anyone, who is right with the Lord. In this way they see Christians, who are the Lord's righteous ones, as being only valuable as prey, like a stag or a doe, a roebuck or an hind.
If foundational Truth is taken away from our Society and our world, then where will the righteous, the Christians, find a solid place to stand. We will stand on the Foundation Truth of the Word of God, even if the rest of the world condemns us because they cannot comprehend why we hold firmly onto the Lord of Glory to the exclusion of all else.
The Lord is living in His Most Holy Place. His keeps His Throne, His Greatest Place of Rulership in His Highest Heaven. The Lord's Eyes see everything. His wise vision fully weighs the motivations and intents of the hearts of the children of men.
The Lord sends trials and tests for proving the true value and worth of His righteous ones, the sons of God. However, the wicked rebels against this Lord of Glory will find, that He is just as opposed to them as He is for us. The wicked violence-lovers will find themselves hated by Very God, Who has the Power to send them to Hell, where His Righteous Wrath can give full vent against His enemies forever.
The Lord is anything but indifferent, regarding the wicked people, who twist the Lord's Truth, and who outright lie against God and His servants. The Lord won't just set one trap against these wicked ones. He will literally rain snares (aka every imaginable kind of trap) upon them. Not only that, but the Lord will rain Hellfire and brimstone upon them as He did on Sodom and Gomorrah. The Lord will rain an horrible tempest (aka thunderstorm and/or hurricane) upon the wicked as He did in the early days of these United States when He decimated the French flotilla, that had come in war against the colonies.
"Oh, Lord, wicked people are trying to destroy these United States for their own egregious purposes and monetary gain. Please, come against them with an horrible tempest, and raise up Your Choice of President Donald Trump for four more years of ministry to You, for Your Purposes, including the Grace of ministry and revivals among Your Church and to the gathering in of the lost as well as to the benefit of Your dear people, Israel. Save us, Oh, Lord, for only You are strong enough to defeat our enemies and to save our country for Your Good Purposes and for Your Great Glory. In Jesus' Name, Amen."
The righteous Lord, Who is God Himself, He loves righteousness, which the doing of right things, having the right attitudes, and rightly loving our Creator, Savior, and Lord in ways, that are always right according to His Standard of Absolute Right, which is Ultimate Truth. It gives Him great pleasure and joy to turn His Face towards, and to look upon, the ones, who do right with their whole hearts, simply because they want to do right.
The Lord make your heart to play in tune with His Own Heart, being made right with Him, according to the sacrificial Gift of His Son's Death, Burial, and Resurrection on the Third Day. (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10,13; Philippians 2:13)
"22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives:
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!"

The Holy Spirit brings His fruit producing
the goodness of His Heart, that's introducing
nine characters of hearts, who in Him living
bring Hope to life and others by their giving.
This love, joy, peace, and patience, kindness, goodness
with faithfulness, self-control and gentleness
are Freedom's hope, that come with many blessings.
He honors His Own Word without our guessings.
A perfect Christian I could never be.
Salvation rests upon this Christ, that lives.
The water-walker's faith will have no pride.
The greatest life one day we'll ever see.
Sustaining grace for living here He gives.
Within His Presence evermore abide.

Prompt: Proverbs 1:17-19
"17. Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
18. And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.
19. So are the ways of everyone that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof."
For surely, Vanity, thy net
is spread before a watching bird,
who won't be caught to last regret,
but flies away as bait's deferred.
They hide to take their own life's blood.
Sad Peek-a-Boo, they play with death.
They wade out through the rising flood.
Who'd try to choke their own last breath?
These are the ways of foolish souls,
who find their hearts are money bent.
For money swallows humans whole,
eternal spirit's fully rent.
The last way mentioned to avoid bad company is really the first priority, regarding this subject. If we wish to avoid bad company, then we should first ensure, that we ourselves are not our own worst enemies.
Foolish souls, who are so self-centered, that they can't see they are leading their own selves down the road, that leads to Hell, will consistently do illogical things they would never do if they were in their right minds.
"Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.".
Why would anyone lay out a net for catching a bird, while the bird is above him in the tree watching him do it? Why would anybody set a beartrap with a bear just a few feet away, while the bear is watching him do it? Why would any fisherman lean over the side of his boat to show the bass in the water the hook, while he is skewering the worm or the Mayfly?
Why would anybody set a trap, that he was pretty could take his own life, if he got too close to the spring, which triggers the mechanism? That person would do it if he or she was so self-centered as to be an abject fool. (Psalm 14; Psalm 53)
"And they lay wait for their own blood;
they lurk privily for their own lives.".
The foolishness of this person becomes more profound with every subsequent verse. This person hides "around the corner" or "in the bushes" waiting for his own self to come into position in order to kill the victim, which is himself. This poor guy is "not wrapped too tight."
This verse is an example of Hebrew parallelism since both halves of the verse are saying exactly the same thing.
"So are the ways of everyone that is greedy of gain;
which taketh away the life of the owners thereof."
Finally, we see the source of the foolishness. This section of Scripture is talking about people, who are greedy. They want money, simply for the sake of having money. People, who chase after money are caught in the trap, that money lays for them. They think they are going to have money for their own pleasure, but in the end, Money will devour the greedy person, consuming him whole.
1. We don't set traps for animals, while they're watching, but greedy people set the trap of money for themselves all the while knowing, that they are doing it.
2. Sane people don't set traps for themselves, that they know will cause their own ultimate demise, but greedy people do because they don't seem to realize the deleterious effects money can have on them if money is loved as an object in itself.
3. Money-love kills the precious life.
Money is an excellent tool, but Money is a terrible master. (JOT)

No doubt, I was trying to quote Barnum,
but my thought has a slightly different nuance,
so we'll use them both. I hope you don't mind.
Remember to exercise wisdom in the presence of money.
Dear Lord of Glory, thank we now

We praise Him! Praise Him with each voice,

It seems, that all humans obsess over something in life.
As a teenager of the 1970s, I had one friend, especially, who was obsessed over The Beatles.
I was, personally, obsessed over the fusion of rock and classic music, like the songs, "Rock a la Bach" and "A Fifth of Beethoven."
Most of us (in my high school at least) were obsessed over Our football team, which had a winning record all four years, consistently playing in the postseason.
As the son of a Christian preacher, who was “old-school” patriotic, I have been obsessed with making sure that I voted in as many elections as I knew about, since 1978 when I first had that privilege.
Yet, the most consistent accusation of obsession, that overshadows my life is my obsession with Jesus Christ. To this, I confess joyful guilt and I am committed in my heart to continue this obsession forever.
As Carman Licciardello put it in his song of the same name, I am "Addicted to Jesus."
There is no cure I would ever accept.

Humans are born full of self.
We cry for food.
We cry when we have disposed of our food.
We cry for attention.
We cry when we are sad.
We cry to control the "big people" in our lives.
How do we move from self as our focus to God as our focus?
Ephesians 2:8-10, "For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and that, not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works."
1. God gives a human the Faith to trust Him. This is a gift.
2. God pours Grace through the conduit of Faith. This is another gift.
3. God creates a human as a new creation in Christ Jesus. Good works come from us as an extension of this gift as well.
How do we perform these good works of Ephesians 2:10?
These good works come as a result of Philippians 2:13.
1. God works in the human, that He has called to His service.
2. God works in the human to want to do God's Will.
3. God works in the human to be able to do the good works, that are pleasing to God.
Both the desire and the ability to please God are gifts from God to the end of pleasing God and for the giving of Glory to God.
How amazing is that?
God wants us to worship Him.
God gives us the desire to worship Him.
God gives us the ability to worship Him.
God orchestrates everything about our lives
for the purpose of helping us to please Him.
For it is God which works in you.
He gives desire and strength to do
of His good pleasure through and through.
Don't worry o'er a thing.
"The Lord is good,

and he knoweth them that trust in him."

What a great Bible verse to encourage us throughout 2020 and beyond!
"The Lord is good." In other words, goodness is simply being like God.
I thought it was a hoot a few years ago, when the atheists bought ads
on the sides of British busses, that stated for the Holidays, "Be good for goodness sake." I thought, "Thank you so much. I didn't even know you cared." In direct translation, their sign said, "Be like God, simply for the sake of being like God."
How wonderful! Atheists believe in God, and they don't even realize they are doing it.
I've have, also, read about Christians getting upset because folks wished them "Happy Holidays!" instead of "Merry Christmas!" I used to be one of those people, until the Lord knocked me down with thought, "Why are you so upset? What does the word, 'holiday' mean?" That's when it hit me. "Holiday means Holy Day."
Today, people can wish me "Happy Holidays!" and I rejoice because they are hoping, that all of these days are Holy, filled with happiness and joy. I'm all for that.
Now, I wish people "Happy Holidays!" & "Merry Christmas! because both of these phrases and many more point to the Lord of Glory Himself.
The Lord is, also, "a strong refuge when trouble comes." This year has been full of troubles, but The Lord still has everything under control. Psalm 91:9-11, KJV, reiterates this when it says, "9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."
"He (has) close (knowledge of) those who trust in him."
If the Lord knows us, personally, then why should we ever feel alone?
The Lord is good. He keeps from harm,
a stronghold from each day's alarm.
He knows the ones, who know His Name,
and in Him rest so free from blame.
May Nahum 1:7 bring you great Peace, even the Lord's Shalom, this very day.

and all who are in authority

I urge you,first of all, my friends
to lift all souls in prayer
by asking God to help and send
protection for their care.

To live our quiet lives through Him
in godliness to the fullest brim.
For this is good and pleases Christ,

to know the truth and sa-ved be.
Our prayers for President Trump are very important at this time in our nation's history.
Let's pray, that his knowledge of the Lord Jesus goes all the way to the heart, and that he is truly born again. Let's pray, that Citizen Biden would be protected mentally from the difficulties of public life, and that he would be free to return home very soon for an extended time of social-distancing. Let's pray, that he and his running mate would have hearts open to the working of the Lord Jesus in their lives, and that the salvation of their souls and spirits would truly be theirs for Time and for Eternity.
May you be truly blessed, too, as we live through these days of divisive issues, and that we would come together in unity for the Glory of Jesus Christ Alone after the dust settles from this Election.

Why is fear such a daily temptation?
God has the power to protect us from daily hurts, but He doesn’t always exercise that power, especially if He has a greater purpose in our lives, that requires hurt as a tool for accomplishing His Purpose.
It’s like the process of silver-smelting. The experienced metallurgist puts silver ore into his cauldron. He heats the ore to the level of liquification. In the liquid state, the impurities (or dross) float to the surface. The smelter ladles off the dross. Then, he turns up the heat. Still, more dross is ladled off. More heat, more ladling, more heat, more ladling, over and over and over, until the dross is fully removed from the ore, and the silver is finally pure.
How does the smelter know, that the silver is at its purest state? When He can see the reflection of His face in the precious metal of silver, then the silver has been made pure.
We don’t like pain.
We like pleasure.
We don’t always gravitate toward vegetables
like we are drawn to sweets.
If something is painful, then it tempts us to fear.
If something is unknown, then it tempts us to fear.
If something appears to be overly dangerous and deadly,
then it tempts us to fear.
Why do we fear, if we have received the Lord's Gift of Salvation?
(John 3:16; Romans 6:23)
We fear when we have more faith in the harm than we have in the Lord's ability to get us through to the other side of the harm with an ultimately good result.
Daily trust in the Lord's ability can defeat fear.
May the Lord help us to focus on Him Alone.
|The original posting of this piece was on July 4th, 2020. I have shortened it a little bit, but the point remains, we have a large group of individuals in this country, who appear to have as little respect for our newly-chosen way of life as King George did back in the 18th-century.
John Adams made a telling statement on October 11, 1798, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other"
"The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America, When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation."
This first paragraph of The Declaration basically says, (as best I can understand it, and express in modern words,) "We've decided, and it's time to tell you, 'We're through!' It's time for us to be on our own, but before we leave, we thought we'd do you the courtesy of telling you Why."
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --"
Basically, this is what we said. "This is what we know to be true. All humans are equal. God made us that way. We have the right to life, Liberty, and to find Happiness whenever and wherever we can. Governments are for the purpose of protecting our rights. We, the people, give the Government that right."
The rest of that second paragraph tells the King, "We feel like you're being a big bully, and we don't like it! We've told you time and again to stop being a bully, but you wouldn't listen. We don't have any other choice, but to walk away. The following is a laundry list of all the stuff you're doing to us. This is our formal complaint, that you can no longer deny in the court of public opinion, the world included."
In between the bookends of five large paragraphs, which make it very clear why The Declaration of Independence was necessary for the colonists to write, we find 27 short paragraphs or laundry list items of grievances against the King. Doing my best to summarize, they seem to be saying, "King, we feel like we've been playing a pick-up game of basketball with you, and you keep moving the boundaries in order to make it so only you can win. Then, on top of that, when the game's over, you decide, 'Since I won, you owe me a meal and a place to sleep off the booze.' King, you're eating us out of house and home! You're not very nice! We're done with you! Talk to the hand! 'Bye!"
"In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people."
Here is my rough translation. "We've asked you to listen. You haven't. You're nothing but a Bully. You don't deserve to lead us free people."
In the second to the last paragraph, the colonists go on to say, "We've tried to have a conversation with the British people. We still consider them to be brothers because we have a common heritage. We've told them, 'We traveled all the way across the Pond to get away from the King's bullying ways, but then he followed us like a clingy love-interest. We've got to do something. Are you going to help us?' Even they wouldn't listen. They wouldn't do anything, so, we have to do something. When the battle comes, we've got to fight against them. Just saying. But when Peace is restored, we'll be ready to be friends, again."
"We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor."
This final and rather large paragraph is the ultimate "burning of the bridge" between the Colonies and the British Commonwealth. The following are the concepts listed in order.
1. "We've been given the authority to tell you these things. We're saying them before God and before the people of the United States of America."
2. "We have the right to be Free and Independent States."
3. "We are no longer loyal to the British Crown. Our political connection is over."
4. "We have the right to start and finish wars."
5. "We have the right to make alliances with other nations."
6. "We have the right to establish Commerce (aka The Economy.)"
7. "We have the right to do anything free people have the right to do."
8. "Between ourselves and before God, we're all in, Win or Lose."
The Bottom Line is this. The Creation of The United States of America was a good idea in HIStory, and it remains a good idea, even today, with all the challenges and distresses we are now facing as a country. Our country was started by failed humans, who had many blind spots. Today, we are a country of failed humans with blind spots, but even with all of our bad, there remains so much good in our country.
"19 Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters:
You must all be quick to listen,
slow to speak,
and slow to get angry.
20 Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.
21 So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives,
and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts,
for it has the power to save your souls.
22 But don’t just listen to God’s word.
You must do what it says.
Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves."

|The days of this year, 2020, have been challenging for all of us. We often wonder, (at least I do,) "Do any humans, especially the voters, who will decide the next President for the United States of America, still agree with those things, that I hold so dear to my heart?"
I was reared in a Baptist pastor's home. I lived next door to the church for much of my childhood. The Bible was read daily in my home, usually after the supper meal. We prayed before every meal, and we were quickly ready to pray throughout the day when needs arose, which required Greater Support.
I was taught to love God and country.
I was taught to love, to honor, and to obey my parents because this honored God.
I was taught, that Freedom was always one generation away from extinction.
I was taught to guard that Freedom with every fiber of my being.
Not only did I believe all these things because I was taught all of these things, but I believed all of these things because I wanted to believe all of these things.
I have read the Bible from my earliest years in King James English, since I was saved at age six, receiving my first KJV Bible with my entire name inscribed across the lower right-hand part of the cover.
From my own reading of the Bible, I understood, that all of the material Universe was created in six literal 24-hour days, and that God rested on the seventh 24-hour period to admire everything, that he created.
From my own reading of the Bible, I understood, that the first two humans were Adam and Eve, that they committed The Original Sin together, and that Man was hopelessly lost forever if God did not provide a Rescue Plan (aka the Plan of Salvation) for us.
From my own reading of the Bible, I learned, that Jesus was and is God's Salvation Plan for every person, who would trust Him as his or her personal Lord and Savior.
I'll stop there for now, but many other things I learned from my own personal reading of the Bible. Therefore, my bottom line belief is that The Holy Bible is God's Only Written Word for Mankind. The Holy Bible is God's statement to us of how to be saved, being brought back into right standing with this God, Who made us, and Who has the right and the power to determine our eternal state, based on His Absolute Standard, Alone.
When it comes to understanding Truth, I'm still a little child. If God says something, that settles it, whether I (or anybody else) is ever able to believe it for ourselves. However, praise God in His Mercy He calls and transforms willing hearts into people, who are able to believe Him their whole hearts.
So, as a little child at heart, I find it very confusing, that all the mean people in the world think it is okay to arrogantly believe, that God does not exist when it is so obvious to me, that He does.
These same type of people hate God. My heart cries out, "Why do you hate God? What has He done to you to make you turn into such mean and heartless bullies? Why do you lie on purpose to get your own way? Why do you say such mean things on the newscasts? Why are you so hateful to God and to anybody like me, who cares for God so much? Why do you hate us by your mean words directed at the Dearest Person in our whole life?"
The cries of my little childlike heart resonate with Psalm 3:1-8 in the King James Version. Let's look at this chapter for a few minutes to encourage our hearts. God knows the people, who actually love Him. (Nahum 1:7) God knows how to protect us. God knows how to comfort our hearts in the midst of mean people doing mean things in our world, today.
I think the Lord would say something like this to each of His children. "Son (or daughter,) it's really not you, that they're after. They don't like Me, and they don't like that fact, that I have the Absolute Standard. They are selfish and they want to go their own way. Rest patiently here with Me. I will set everything right at the best time of My own choosing. They want the right to choose, but I have the Ultimate Choice. I made everything to be in agreement with Me. All of creation knows this, but some humans refuse to. Whoever creates is the operating Standard for all things, all beings, all humans, everything. That is the process of Creation. The Creator leaves His aroma on all things. 'A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.' Who do you think inspired Shakespeare to pen those words?"
The Word of God has such comfort for those of us, who love It as food for our newly-enlivened spirits.
"1 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me!
many are they that rise up against me."
"People, who are out to get me, are way more than I can count."
"2 Many there be which say of my soul,
There is no help for him in God.
"These mean people say things, like 'God can't even help him'.
I should take a moment and think about that."
"3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me;
my glory, and the lifter up of mine head."
"But, Lord, You stand in front of me, like my daddy used to do, to shield me from the bad people; You make me to be honored, You put Your finger under my chin to lift up my face to look into Your Eyes because I was starting to feel depressed."
"4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice,
and he heard me out of his holy hill.
"I shouted my need for help to the Lord, He heard me all the way in Heaven.
I should take a moment, and think about that."
"5 I laid me down and slept;
for the Lord sustained me."
"Once I realized, that God had my back, I slept like a baby.
When I woke up I was refreshed because the Lord kept me going in every possible way."
"6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people,
that have set themselves against me round about."
"I don't have any reason to be afraid, no matter how many people are against me because God is for me."
"7 Arise, O Lord;
save me, O my God:
for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone;
thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly."
"Lord, please take care of me because my enemies are so close to me, I can smell their nasty breath. Thank You for giving them an uppercut and knocking out all of their teeth."
"8 Salvation belongeth unto the Lord:
thy blessing is upon thy people.
"Only God can save me. Your Greatest Gift is on Your people.
I should take a moment, and think about that."
No matter what the bad people do on the newscasts and on social media, The Lord, Who is in charge of all things, takes care of His children, as a tender father cares for his small children, who have nobody to help them but him.
Be blessed, Everyone. There is hope in October, and November, and beyond. Let us "rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him." (Hebrews 4:9; Psalm 37:7)

Proverbs 1: 8-9
8. My son hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
9. for they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.
What do you think King Solomon was saying here?"
"1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"

"1 Now, dear brothers and sisters, let us clarify some things about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and how we will be gathered to meet him. 2 Don’t be so easily shaken or alarmed by those who say that the day of the Lord has already begun. Don’t believe them, even if they claim to have had a spiritual vision, a revelation, or a letter supposedly from us. 3 Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction."

King Solomon is laying the foundation of success for future generations of people in the world in general, and in any kingdom, in specific. In order for cultures to continue, which necessarily means to continue in a godly way as the Lord has before ordained, that it should continue, then every generation of children are to grow up, honoring their fathers and their mothers.
The Apostle Paul emphasized this fact in Ephesians 6:1-3, KJV, when he wrote, "1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth."
Paul's words were founded not only upon the wisdom of King Solomon, but upon the wisdom of the Patriarch, Moses, who was merely the Scribe for the Lord when he wrote, "Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.". (Exodus 20:12, KJV)
Why is it important to honor our parents by listening to them?
"8. My son hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
9. for they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck."
First of all, "Listening to what your father teaches you," and "holding onto the truth, that your mother cherishes in her heart" will become "a gracious crown on your head, the neckwear, which identifies you as being of royal heritage." In researching this I am reminded, that every king receives as crown and a robe at his coronation. The crown adorns his head, and the robe is held in place by a chain which is generally around the neck, being draped from shoulder to shoulder.
Secondly, this verse 8a admonishes us to intentionally look towards our fathers for the receiving of their instruction. The action, that is mandated is positive this time because children must be determined to focus on the father, since, especially in that culture, the father was not home as much as the mother was, therefore there was to be a positive turning toward him when he returned home because his time with the children was typically in shorter periods of time. "Listen to your father."
Thirdly, verse 8b admonishes us to intentionally keep focusing on our mothers, since, especially in that culture, the mother was always at home. Children knew instinctively Right and Wrong because Mom lived it before them every day. "Don't stop listening to your mother."
"A country is only as strong as the teaching in the heads and in the hearts of the generation, that bears its weight." (This is my paraphrase of a thought I've often heard, "We're only one generation away from losing our country.")
Fourth, we see, that the mantle of royalty can only rest upon the head and the shoulders of those, who honor their parents with their whole hearts.
We return now to the woeful words of the Apostle Paul, "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"
Paul told us about 2000 years ago, that one of the signs of the coming of the Antichrist, and ultimately the Return of the Real Christ would be "a falling away," which in other words is an Apostasy.
What is apostasy? According to Merriam-Webster, the "Definition of apostasy (is)
1: an act of refusing to continue to follow, obey, or recognize a religious faith
2: abandonment of a previous loyalty : DEFECTION."
From what are we falling away?
The foundation and the continuation of a godly nation is the maintenance of the godly heritage from generation to generation. The foundation of godliness is children "listening to their fathers, while not forsaking the law of their mothers."
But the GRAND SIGN of the return of Jesus Christ will be the "refusing to continue," the "abandonment," the "defection" from everything that our parent's generation and our grandparents' generations in perpetuity.
I have spent my entire life watching the "falling away" as my generation and the generation to follow the Baby Boomers have been loosening their grip upon the faith of those, who came before us. Praise the Lord for the many humans, who still grasp with tenacity the faith of our fathers, but as a nation, as generations, there is a rejection of and "a falling away" from the faith upon which this nation was founded.
Except for the Remnant of godly souls in our world, today, our country and our world would already be destroyed. Will we continue after the November 3rd Election? We will only continue by virtue of the remnant, that continues in the faith of our fathers in conjunction with our loyalty to the nation of Israel, God's Chosen People.

Truth is Absolute.
Truth is true in the same way for everybody.
Truth created the world and the universe.
Everything and everybody is subject to Truth.
Truth exists outside of the physical universe.
The entirety of material space is subject to Truth.
Truth is the Person of Jesus Christ, the One, Who grew up in Nazareth.
All sentient beings will obey the orders of Jesus Christ
throughout Eternity because He Alone is TRUE.

"The purpose of the Proverbs is to teach humans to be wise all the way to their core.
The purpose of the Proverbs is to help humans to understand when wise words are spoken;
The purpose of the Proverbs is to help humans be receptive to learning how to be wise.
The purpose of the Proverbs is to help humans be receptive to true justice.
The purpose of the Proverbs is to help humans be receptive to the judgment of the Wise.
The purpose of the Proverbs is to help humans to provide others with unequal treatment to the end of an equal result. Respect for Self and for others. This is helping the handicapped or physically-challenged to compete to the end of self-confidence. People do not need a hand-out as much, nor as often as they need a hand.
"The Proverbs are tools to help inexperienced humans to be subtle, (aka able to make a point without making others feel inferior.) [Neither American political Party is subtle. Therefore, Americans are uneasy about our future.]
The Proverbs are tools to help our youth to gain facts about the world as well as about healthy interactions between humans along with the ability to weigh thoughts for the purpose of creating the best outcome for everyone involved.
"Wisdom is gained by listening to the Wise,
Wisdom grows exponentially by learning from the wise; (It is like learning Math. One level of Wisdom builds upon the level of Wisdom before or underneath it.)
A wise man understands (or grasps the concepts of Wisdom,)
A wise man shall achieve such great levels of Wisdom, that he, too, may be able to express Wisdom to the learning of others. (To be clear, Wisdom is not merely for males among the human race. Wisdom is for all peoples, and for both genders. Some of the wisest people I know are godly ladies.)
"A proverb is an observation about how things actually operate on Planet Earth.
A proverb shows, that some human has been observant about the world around himself or herself.
A proverb is next-level on the knowledge scale.
When we learn a fact, we have gained some knowledge.
When we learn how to use that fact in the best way possible to benefit our lives and the lives of others, then we have gained some Wisdom.
A Proverb statement is the codifying of applied knowledge.
To understand a proverb is to comprehend the nuances of the wise Proverb statement,
To interpret a proverb is to be able to express and to teach the nuances of meaning within a wise Proverb statement;
The Wise speak words of Truth in the best way, that states the obvious to those who see.
The Wise speak words of Truth to those, who do not see, and their words are dark and incomprehensible to those, who are not wise.
"Grasping the fact, that the Lord is the Creator, and as the Creator He is worthy of our greatest RESPECT for Time and for Eternity, and that disrespect to the Lord puts this unwise person at the deepest level of jeopardy of every aspect of his or her very being is where Wisdom begins.
"The Fear of the Lord = the beginning of Knowledge and its adjoining Wisdom.
The wise do not need to continue in the mortal fear of the Lord, but any human being, who does not believe, that the Lord has the ability to do us mortal harm for all Eternity, while we remain in our Sin, that person has no rational right to escape his mortal fear of the Lord.
The Wrath of God against the wickedness of sinners is completely justified. This Wrath is unemotional and factually-based.
By comparison, electricity has no emotions associated with the electrocution of a foolish human, who touches a live wire without protective gear.
Humans can come near to the "holiness" of electricity by wearing the "salvation" of non-conductive gloves.
Humans may draw near unto this Holy God through the protective merits of Jesus Christ, the Only Lordly Savior for Mankind.
"Our status of abject unworthiness before the Lord,
and His absolutely Holy and Righteous Justice against our unworthiness
causes us to fear for our eternal lives because we can't do anything about our destruction.
This is the fact of our fearful knowledge before God.
This knowledge is the beginning of our Salvation in God's sight.
"We are not saved by having this knowledge alone in our hearts,
but this beginning knowledge leads us to repentance whereby we may be saved and freed from the fierceness of His Holy Wrath, and as the result, we no longer need to be afraid of God because His Wrath has been averted on the basis of the Precious Blood of the Lamb, His Only Begotten Son, Jesus of Nazareth, HIStory's Only Messiah.
Fools reject this Truth.
Fools refuse to learn Wisdom.
Fools are unteachable.
The first step to Salvation is the recognition of lostness.
The next step to Salvation is the repentance (or turning from) Self to the Savior.
The last step to Salvation is the receptivity of His Merits for my demerits, His payment for my Sin, His Goodness substituting for my Badness before thrice Holy God, thus making my name to be valued in God's Eyes because when He looks at me, He sees His Son, Jesus.
