My stories of inspiration as I develop my friendship with God.
To me, God is not a far off storybook God. No, he is an ever-present presence in my everyday life. Some days, he feels closer than others. On other days, I feel I'm tightly wrapped in his strong, capable arms. This is a collection of stories about my personal experiences, thoughts, and ramblings as I delve deeper and deepen my friendship with God. |
John 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
Dance Before The Master - written as an entry for a contest prompt given by Lilly Loyd. She gave a photo of some brightly colored wildflowers. This is what it inspired me.
Fields of dancing blue as far as the eye can see grow wildflowers for you and me. Not confined or restained by human hand, but wild and free there only by the grace of God's own hand. He sends the rain to quench their thirst, the sun to warm and nurture their inner strength. He supplies the dirt where their roots stretch and secure their hold. He provides every aspect of needs for this delicate life he alone created, the flower only purpose is to dance in the wind before it's Master. Like the delicate flower, we to can trust our God to supply our needs down to the very littlest detail. Our only purpose, our only care is to dance before our Master
