It's funny, but while music with lyrics always helps me get in the right mood for a particular type of story, I have an easier time writing with instrumental music playing. Sometimes I can do music with lyrics, but most of the time, it slows me down. I do like to have theme songs that get me in the right mode for certain characters, though. Often, I'll have a song that I'll play before I sit down to work on a longer story that takes multiple days to write. It helps me find the right mood/voice. For my NaNo novel, it was Halsey's "Tradition". For Galatea, it was a Billie Eilish song called "everything i wanted". For my recent Screams story Escape, it was Digital Daggers "The Devil Within".

Come now, Ray! This morning someone paid for my coffee before I pulled up to the Starbucks window. Made my day. And I paid for the person behind me. Hopefully it made theirs.

While they hardly solve the world's energy conundrum in one earth-shattering change, the tiniest little things sometimes make all the difference in the world, and we're all capable of making them happen.

Besides, Netflix and two-day delivery from Amazon rock! XD

At that point in my life, I'll be yelling at shadows and trying to remember if I now wear diapers or not.

Chateau Version 2.0

I just finished editing an older story of mine.

Back when I wrote it for SCREAMS, I was running out of time and wasn't able to finish the ending I had envisioned, choosing to awkwardly wrap it up in a few sentences. Well now it's back and better than ever! (You'll be the judge of that.)

This new and revised conclusion ended up extending the story to be nearly three times as long. Do the new scenes add anything or detract from the overall experience? I honestly can't even tell you. What I can say is that it was loads of fun to write and that I will certainly be tweaking it and polishing the parts that need it.
