All The Whatevers Are Happening Here!

This book is for my blog. I’ve never had a blog before, so who knows? I’m not sure what I'm doing here..
Serenity in a high saddle...
May 13, 2025 at 5:49pm
🏔️ Found serenity in the heights of the Colorado Trail! Sitting in a high saddle below a pass, surrounded by an alpine bloom of wildflowers and vast, snow-capped peaks. This moment was pure wanderlust—three weeks of scouting the frontier with my BSA crew, chasing the next ascent. 📷 ... [Read more]

—it's a cow patty skewered on a stick! Back when my son was young, he joined the Boy Scouts of America, and I stepped up as Scoutmaster. There, amid the chaos, I sat—pen in hand—scribbling the first whispers of Rio Grande: A River's Whisper, as the river seemed to howl its untamed tale.... [Read more]

Travis Barkley
May 13, 2025 at 3:48pm
This is Travis Barkley; he likes long walks in the forest and chasing squirrels and rabbits; he doesn't chase chickens because he knows that's not allowed. He never catches any squirrels but won't give up the game. The squirrels will go up to his fence and taunt him. He will run around in his private play area, grabbing one of his stuffed animals and shaking it furiously in front of the squirrels, trying to intimidate them. It doesn't work. The squirrels know how far from the ... [Read more]
