I agree that not all criticism is beneficial. However, it may be the individual receiving the criticism that does have the problem. I look at it this way: Take it for what it might give you, which could be nothing. Don't take it to0 personal but remember what is being critiqued. Sometimes (I have done this) we take the words to seem mean, harsh but I now try to find or see the other person's side of it. We take good news easier than we do bad news. It is hard to accept that we might need to hear a person's point of view on our work or comments. Keep a open mind; can't hurt.
Writing wise? In 2025, I fleshed out my WIP, Gifts, and really filled in the middle part of the novella. Now, I just have to write the last chapters. The challenge is finding the time.
In my childhood, my parents told me to always remain confident. They also advised me to not to give up my dream under any circumstances. These are the most important learnings. Especially, after my father's death, ten years ago, I faced many critical situations, but I never gave up my dreams. The support of the mother was crucial.
We fought very hard to overcome our financial crisis. But I got a doctorate before the stipulated time. Prompt▶︎
