Where humour is often found in the mundane, where the trivial becomes of utmost importance, where, well...where I Live!
Since becoming a Members of the groups below, I will use the daily prompt, as well as, well...sharing the sporadically mundane everyday, that I find carries just a Smidge of humor. ;)
Saturday was always our family day, Sunday was meal prep for the week. I made muffins for children's breakfast and snacks for after school because I went to work before they got up for school and they got home first in the afternoon. And I cut up vegetables for the week a head's meals. I don't miss those days at all.
This morning he offered to empty the dishwasher, great. I come back in the kitchen and all the dishes are on the counter. When I ask why, he said he didn't know where they went. I said, open the doors it's pretty obvious. I walk away before I yell. I come back later the dishes are taken care of but every cupboard door is wide open. GRRRRRR
Witchy Yule Woman, That is Exactly so! I cannot name One chore that I have given my husband or one that he has willingly offered to help with, that I have not had to go behind him to fix. It is like following a young child around to fix their chores. On the other hand...he is the sole caretaker of our four acre property, and I know that, yes...I could mow it like he does, but...there is so much more that he puts into it that I could not (edging, weedeating, etc), so I really cannot complain...Too much!
Husbands, what would we do without them, it's like having another child. Our husbands share similar characteristics, if I ask my husband to do something without a doubt, I discover I should have done it myself. Like I asked him to start the laundry, yup, he put it in the washer but never pushed start.
That's the one!I Love it. When I began using that font here, I started w/o bold. I like just italcs better, but was told by two readers, that it is too difficult to read thay way. At least when using certain colors, I guess. Now I just do bold And italics, and try to alternate with the colors that I like.
BC ~ What does success mean to you besides money or status?
Success is when...
Managing to roll out of bed after only hitting snooze half a dozen times, and land on your feet (albeit a bit wobbly), and stumble to the coffee pot.
Clicking your blinker for the direction you actually Intend to turn, narrowly averting Disaster!
Noticing, just Before a meeting with my supervisors, the Rather large Green Something stuck between my teeth.
Remembering to pay my phone bill...Before it is shut off.
Packing my lunch, AND actually putting it In my vehicle.
Recalling the reason I walked into any given room (but only after retracing my steps)
Knowing my Own name by the end of the day.
and Finally...
Making it to the toilet when your bowels Suddenly...without warning...turn to liquid (TMI). Don't pretend it hasn't happened to you a time or two. Or, er...is it just me?!
