I was reading an article and found myself utterly thunderstruck by a quote. This experience resulted in me thinking about quotes in general. I admit I have somewhat complicated feelings about quotes, and I'm curious if other people on WDC feel similarly.
So, how do you feel about quotes? If you're not sure what that question really means, here are some related questions to ponder.
Where do you most often see quotes?
Do you prefer shorter or longer quotes?
How do you use quotes in the writing process?
Do you think quotes can be misleading in any way?
I am curious to, uh, read your thoughts on this one.
