I have a static item that I am not sure I understand. I created an in/out format as directed (to my best to understand it). It does work but as far as setting it so that the codes don't show, I am not clear. I wonder could you look at it. It is called Word of the Day:
I have two issues: a. the codes for how it is formatted show in the box where my reader would type. b. How can I set it up so I can respond back to my reader? Appreciate any help you can give me? Seabreeze |
I made an entry to your in & out to see what it would look like and you are correct: there is some formatting showing that shouldn't be there. I haven't done any items of this type before, so I don't have a good answer for you. Hopefully, there will someone else that comes along that has had experience with in & outs. Does this help? Greets, The issue here is that you're using a "Custom In&Out Format"... this copy/paste is exactly what you have in the "Custom" field: %%blank_line%% = adds an extra blank line when needed %%text_plain%% = submission's text withOUT WritingML or HTML So... It seems you've copied and pasted from the custom field instructions. What you're seeing in the In&Out display is exactly that. If you'd just like the plain text from the submissions to show, then the only thing that should be in your custom field is: %%text_plain%% "%%text_plain%%" is a variable instruction that tells the system to display the plain text of the In&Out submission. Hope this helps,
