Rebuilding the Wall (Rated ASR)

Crawling into my corner
to curl up.
Begging for the lonliness
to leave me be.
I shouldn't have
let you in.
Your view of what I should be--
unrealistic.
It was your failing,
not mine.
Time is for healing
they say
(whoever "they" are).
Emotions are tools for learning.
I sigh as I replace the bricks
around my heart.
Never again.
