NIGHTMARE

This is not the first time I've seen the night
The darkness robs me of my sight
Ny outstreched hands reach for you
but you're not there when I cry for you
The light ran away from me today
Without it I guess there is nothing
And no words I can say
Will bring you back
So I sit on the frozen ground,
If the ground is even there,
Not a speck of light to be found
I'm rotting here without you
Come find me and bury me
I open my mouth to shout for you
No answer, no sound at all
I didn't expect to hear your voice anyway
It's as lost as the light itself
So run away again, be a coward
I'll continue to call out your name
This darkness is to blame
Are my eyes closed? I cannot tell...
This is what I got when I fell,
When I tumbled into your trap
And now I feel like a f***ing rat.
