A sanctuary for weary writers, inky wretches, and aspiring professional novelists. |
Ok I'm sure this won't work, but here goes. I write fiction for the most part. But I'm toying with the idea of doing a cookbook but I don't want it to be the same old narratives about life or culture or anything like that. My question is, is there any possibility of combining fiction with the non-fiction of a cook book? For example for a few recipies that would make up a great meal for a dinner party instead of how to go about cooking and setting up for it in like to do list form (they always make it seem so easy to pull off a meal, presentable home, presentable self and still be a good hostess), but more of a quick story about the hostess doing all that and the silly problems that could arise. I'm clearly still hashing out the idea in my head but wanted some opinions. Thanks! |
