Satanism sounds like it is just as dogmatic, self righteous, and intolerant as any of our favorite religions.

I looked it up. According to Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satanism, is an umbrella term that encompasses a number of belief systems. The quote you provide, Sully, is from a group that calls itself "Joy of Satan." As far as I can tell, none of the major Satanic groups actually worship evil, as I had always imagined. Some of them don't even believe of Satan as an actual being, but Joy of Satan does. To Satanists, Satan appears to be just another name for God - the True God, that is.
