Sorry. YEC stands for young earth creationism. It is the position held by many American Christian evangelicals (some studies show slightly over 50% of Americans believe in some form of YEC) that the earth, the solar system, the universe, everything that we call existence is only 6,000-10,000 years old. A completely unrealistic picture of reality that is contradicted by tons of evidence, but since those who believe this base their belief on nothing more substantial than faith, their position cannot be contradicted by evidence.
