I have sent GPs in response to reviews of my work that I thought were especially helpful. As I've become more familiar with the review reward system, it occurs to me that the author of the piece being reviewed is in the best position to determine that a review was helpful, and is thus most qualified to recognize the review. The suggestion: Insert the 25/50/100... etc. drop-down menu into the review response email template instead of the "Send GPs" box, and allow the sent GPs to count toward review recognition. Or just count the GPs sent in the "Send GPs" box toward recognition. If recognition is intended for public reviews only, include logic that excludes GPs sent for private reviews (or disable the drop-down box on private reviews.)
Or something like that.
