I think it all boils down to what each individual writer prefers. I can get yWriter to work for me and I'm only a so-so planner. Then again, it's set up in a way for a computer programmer to write in a way that he's used to programming. For him, it makes sense. In a way, it makes sense to me as well as I think that way. I can write simple short stories in Word, but can't seem to put together an entire novel that way. For some reason, all of the individual files I end up creating for it confuse me in the long run. For all I know, that might be why Dark Rider stalled on me and I'm having problems finishing it. No clue. I may attempt to 'import' it into yWriter and see if that helps. If it does, then I'll know that I can't use a simple word processing program to write novels. I am planning on being a beta tester for Scrivener this year. I'm looking forward to seeing how that particular software works, and possibly buying it when it releases if it works for me. So yeah. A long-winded response that basically boils down to, "each person is different and works a different way." ![]() Erin ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** Ready for NaNoWriMo 2010!!
