Probaby won't meet my #2 goal...
Hello, everyone!

First off, a big congrats to all who reached / passed the 50,000 word mark. This is the second year I've done NaNoWriMo, and the second year I passed that target. Talk about a challenge!

Second, for those who tried but didn't make it to the 50,000 word mark -- do NOT call yourselves failures! So you didn't get to the magic number. At least you tried, which is something a LOT of people around you will probably never do. I've lost track of the number of people I know in everyday life who won't even consider making that effort, and who think I'm off my rocker for trying. Well, maybe all of us are off our rockers -- because we decided not to sit in that rocking chair and let the opportunity go by!

Unfortunately, I'm most likely not going to meet my secondary goal -- to get the manuscript finished in the month of November. I'm sitting at 57,000-plus words and still have several major parts of the story to tell. I doubt I will get that done in the next 23 hours. So like last year's project, it will continue to be written for a while. I think I'm going to get this one done first, though. My last year's project is sitting at 85,000-plus words and STILL has more elements to write! It's taken on a life of its own! This year's project has a very visible ending right now; perhaps I'll get there in another five to ten thousand words.

         Hey, such is life! *Bigsmile*
