The only person qualified to comment on perpetrator's mental health is a doctor who specializes in mental illness. The only place a doctor should make a statement on the perpetrator's mental health is in a court of law, and after promising to tell the truth.

Amen to this! I completely agree, Neva. I can't stand it when some random non-doctor is talking about how the person must have been mentally ill and it had just gone undiagnosed. *Rolleyes* And they always say "mentally ill" like no specific diagnosis or anything. It's just a vague, general "mental heath issue" every time.
