I have learned a lot from reviewers. Some are very articulate while others give nice reviews of how much they enjoyed it and a couple of suggestions.
Although there have been times I felt picked a part by articulate reviews, I do find it very helpful and a reminder of things I should remember while writing.
I've started using the outlines provided to help organize my review and thoughts when looking over a piece and find that myself starting to apply this with my own work. When I proof read my work I will use this outline to see how it would be reviewed.
Sometimes, I do confess, that when I feel something missing in the writing I will leave it up to feedback to see if someone can see it.
So, I think the statement above has some truths to it. Especially for "newbies" or someone who is taking a chance at artistic expression through words.
This is a good topic and I'm learning from this as well.
