Reviewing with River

Hi, Joey.

Thank you for your honest response to this month's topic. I think it's normal for people to have genres they are simply not comfortable with reviewing. For example, I don't review Erotica. I don't think that makes me a bigot. I know lots of people enjoy reading the Erotica Genre and that's fine.

If I get a review request for an erotic short story I simply say "I'm sorry, I'm not comfortable reviewing that genre. Is there something else I could review for you?"

My favourite genre is murder mysteries. I'm pretty sure reading or reviewing that genre isn't going to make me go out and kill someone. It's just a matter of personal choice. I prefer to review what I like to read.

I admire both you and Paddy to be able to review in any genre. I'm just not there yet. Keep those reviews coming because reviewing is a very important part of WDC.
