A reviewing forum for those interested in improving their reviewing skills. |
I usually have reviewed when people ask me. I don't really pick and choose about that, but if it is something very long and the person doesn't review even a haiku of mine before asking, it will depend on what sort of mood I am in. What I really don't like is when someone asks me to review a long item, I do it and they don't say a word in response. I had one earlier this year that took me about 45 minutes to read and then a good while to review. Tick tock. Nothing. Crickets. I put this joker's request in my NUTS folder. So, now I check the old NUTS folder before I review. When people ask me without bothering to send a review for a picture or a haiku I sometimes put them in my NUTS folder, too. But then I forget who is in the NUTS folder. I hope I never forget that I have the NUTS folder. That could lead to real trouble. ![]() ![]() I don't get people who don't review others, but expect reviews right off the bat when they join. I send a lot of reviews. And I usually get quite a few. It has to work both ways. I give a lot more than I get. I saw where someone said send out ten reviews for every one you expect to receive. I would say that's pretty good advice. Pay it Forward and quit worrying about being read. It will happen when it's meant to happen. |
