Reviewing with River

I feel rather humbled to receive a review request. I try to be open to all genres but I really struggle with reading and reviewing Science Fiction, though. I have it listed as my least favorite and that I'd prefer not to review it. However, a couple has slipped through and I enjoyed them because they had aspects to the story that I could identify with.

I don't mind if the boundaries are pushed or if I have to look something up to understand what I'm reading. Reviewing can be a learning experience for both parties, and often the beginning of friendships!
