Reviewing with River

You know, I had never thought about it until now, but I really need to look out to review more newbie stuff! I pick stuff to review based on what hooks me into a story, I also look at whether or not the story has already been reviewed or received ratings more than once.

I try to encourage everyone I review the same way, pointing out the things about their pieces I thought were awesome and letting them know (if it's the case) that I enjoyed reading them. But again, now that you're bringing it up I will totally take into consideration whether someone is new to the community.

I obviously haven't taken any newbies "under my wing" because I'm not sure I'm really qualified to be that person. I don't have a ton of stuff out there in my portfolio, and I haven't earned the status really. At some point when I feel a little more validated, I will definitely help out in any way I can!
