Do you look at the plot, the characters, and the way that the author puts words together? I do look at the plot in that have I been able to follow along. I also look at the characters to see if I have 'connected' with them and if they were described. I also like to see how people put words together. Do I comprehend them? Sometimes the wording is 'above my head'. Do you like stories that have a lot of action or a lot of character development? I think a story should incorporate both action and character development. It's much easier for me to read this than review on it. Do you like authors to use a lot of complicated words, or very simple words? I am a simple writer. I rarely use complex words, that's just how it works with me and my writing. My preference would be to read something with simple words, but then I wouldn't learn any new words. So, sometimes I come across a piece that's a bit more complicated. If I'm fully awake and can focus on it, I read it. So, for me, if I can focus I don't mind reading complicated words, but typically I like simple words. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
