Under Construction - MHWA Retreat

I thought the same thing, Angela. Like, has music really gotten angrier/sadder or have lyrics just gotten more straightforward and direct? There's a difference between having to read between the lines to see what a song is really about and have sad/angry lyrics that are clearly stated and in your face. I'd like to see a study that analyzes song subject matter to see if songs really have gotten angrier and sadder with time.
