Hmmm. I guess SM isn't just another pretty face.  She makes perfect sense and, IMHO, is spot on with her posit.Q: Have my writing skills improved by reviewing others? A: Most definitely. I've learned quite a bit about poetry and short story writing by reading and reviewing. Ways stories unfold, the progression of plot lines, new forms, and - of course - inspiration and a need to constantly try to improve. Not to limit myself but Christopher Roy Denton, Azrael Tseng, and Ben Langhinrichs are all superb writers and I learn every time I read them. Q: Do I make it a practice to review every day? A: I try. I average at least one a day. Q: Do I have any thoughts on this subject? A: Well, now I do! 😄 You just made me think about it, didn't you? Ohhh. "thoughts to share."  In truth, reviewing has made me a better writer and, as I discover my own areas for improvement, I hope more helpful to those I review.Ken |
