I always review - first and foremost - as a reader. Most will agree, the purpose of writing is to entertain or inform - and hopefully both.
As a reader, I can gauge my own reactions and that is a critical part of the review process to let the writer know how successful he/she was. Grammar, punctuation, misspellings can all be corrected and are secondary.
