Well, if they were honest about how much they read (and it sounds like they were, otherwise how do you know they only read two paragraphs), what they're doing is giving you feedback on why they didn't continue. That's like reading the blurb of a book and putting it back down and the author saying "Why didn't it appeal?" and you giving them some feedback like "You had a typo in the first sentence of the blurb and that didn't give me much hope" or "It doesn't sound like a genre I'm interested in".
So yes, I think it's acceptable to give feedback as to why they read the first two paragraphs and then felt like they weren't prepared to read any further.
