Reviewing with River

I think that's a fair counterpoint to my argument, Elle. I hadn't considered it being fair in that context. Being a (generally) amateur writing site, maybe that is an appropriate review.

I'm not convinced this particular review came off that way, but that could have been me reading tone where there was none. Or maybe there was tone, and that's the just the way the person reviews.

"Helpful" comes in may forms if we're willing to recognize it. I suppose on the other hand, if the review was not helpful, we can always choose to ignore them. That's not to tear down Adrie's question/annoyance, because I still wouldn't do it based on such a short piece of a larger work, but I am not everyone.
