Whata WackyBrew Often I will go to the WDC Home page and click on the box where people ask for reviews. I hope I'm not alone in saying I skimm through the titles, tag lines and the first few paragraphs of entries to see what will grab my attention. After reading Elle Thinking on that, capturing the reader's interest in the first page must be essential. I may form an opinion in those first few paragraphs, but if the blurb intrigued me I will give the writer a chance. Kristina McMorris has great ideas. She's captured the book club market with her prompts. However, I've read her books We both live in Portland (her father is the Famous Mr. Yoshida Teriyaki sauce maker) and I was disappointed in her book, THE EDGE of LOST. The she came out with SOLD on a MONDAY which sounded so good, but neither I or my mother finished it. You can have a great idea, but sometimes you can't please all the readers. She's a best seller. I don't get it. She has a great editor who writes her blurbs, but her books didn't meet my expectations based on those blurbs.
