A reviewing forum for those interested in improving their reviewing skills. |
I’ll use the star system to rate the below: Any review you write makes you write. - 1 Any review you write makes you read. - 5 Any review you write can increase your vocabulary. - 3 Any review you write can help you identify and understand rules of grammar. - 4 Any review you write can help you identify and understand rules of punctuation. - 2 Reviewing makes me read the piece. Usually, the gps motivate me. My favourite is rate and review. Then, I will read, sometimes stuff out of my genre. I learnt to evaluate stories and when I am forced to think critically on what makes a good story, it makes me evaluate my own and help me input those points in my own writing. Some really good writing that stretches my limited vocabulary forces me to seek the dictionary and see how the words are used. There are so many good writers out there, makes me realise, I am just so far behind. Reviewing also brings out the humility in us and make us self-aware about where we are at in writing. Grammar has never been my strong suit but everyone has their own level here. If I am in a position to notice things are out of place, then I will point it out. Otherwise, I’ll just say that all is awesome. Fairy ☮ ![]() |
