For the last few days I joined the SuperPower Reviewers Anniversary Raid. Choosing to review from member's folders made it easier than hunting up items to review. I didn't do as many as some of the others. I found a good selection of stories to read and review. Some had me poking around the port to see what all the member wrote. Some were poetry with only one or two short stories. There were ports with only a few stories posted.
I came across one I hesitated to read. The beginning didn't grab me and I started to leave it and choose a different one. The thought came to me, Why review ones you like? I read the whole thing and gave a review where I had to dig deep to find what it was that held me back. I was honest but gave helpful suggestions.
I wonder if we sort through posts looking for ones that connect with us rather than going for that one that might stretch our comfort zone?
