Reviewing with River

You know, I was a big pantser until I was hired to ghostwrite a novella for someone who (very understandably) wanted a detailed outline and character profiles, the works. She converted me bigly- it was sooooo much easier.

I didn't find it as restricting I thought I would, and still had plenty of wiggle room for change and intuition and stuff. I'm not as persnickety as she was, but I do keep a copy of Save the Cat! Writes a Novel on my desk. For short stories, I'm totally still a pantser tho.
