Hi Gaby!!! I'm glad this question sparked something. This is the first case of its kind concerning a school shooting. So, I feel like this case will set a precedence and become 'case law', naturally. Especially as future cases look to the outcome of this one and parallels are drawn. I was raised around guns, as far back as I can remember. The one thing my father did do correctly was to teach us gun safety and how to shoot. However, we never knew where the guns were kept. The only time we saw them was when we went shooting and subsequently cleaned the guns. We didn't have our own guns - until we were old enough to buy our own. It's mind-boggling to me that Crumbly's father took him to purchase a gun for him knowing his mental state was questionable. Not to mention all the text messages that were exchanged between Crumbly and his parent when he was en route to commit his crime. Personally, I would have called the police. Yes, even on my own kid! It would have saved lives and stopped him from ruining his own life and the affected families. I have not heard of the Montana case. When you 'transformation', are you referring to a surgical transformation? Because I do think 14 is too young to make that decision. But, if they want to change their hair and dress styles - go for it! To each their own - we all have to explore, I guess. It was confusing and hard enough growing up as a heterosexual girl, never mind feeling conflicted about who I might really be. I am going to look up that case though because I am curious about the whole story. Anyway, thanks for sharing! ![]() |
