No. I'd be a menace to myself and other road users. Many moons ago, when my car was out of action, I got a courtesy car from the garage that was a manual - I'd stalled the damn thing twice before I'd even got round the block. It took me ages to kangaroo home. Getting my clutch work sorted out to hold position and avoid rolling backwards on even the slightest slope was a farce, and I'd be trying to pull into traffic and get up to speed while still in first gear and with the engine screaming for mercy. The only thing that was missing was a laugh-track. Never again.
