So when I credit a review, is there any other impact other than the reviewer getting some GPs to show appreciation for the reviewer taking time to write a review?

That I know of, the only other thing it does is counts towards achievement badges. If you go to “My Account” > “Achievements” there is a section for “Rewarding Achievements” where you get MBs for your 1st review credited, 100th, 500th, etc.

That part I knew. My question was about additional benefits to the reviewers.

You help add them to the “Most Credited Reviewers” list too. Though I’m not sure that has any benefits other than the title. *Laugh*

Crediting reviews is a very positive aspect for members.

You crediting a reviewer not only sends a good message (and some gift points) to that person, but as Allan Charles 🐾 Author Icon said, you get credit toward the Reviewing Achievement merit badges.

For specifics on crediting reviewers (and the Most Credited Reviewer list), check out "Reviewing CreditsOpen in new Window.. It explains the system very well.
