I like to do a mix of both. There's a part of me that really enjoys connecting with other people, so I'm almost always up for meeting someone for lunch, dinner, a game night, etc. But there are definitely days and times where I just want to spend time at home, relaxing, reading or writing, binging a TV show, etc. There's a theory that whether you're an introvert or extrovert can be determined by "where you recharge" (i.e., if you go out and about you need to rest up at home to prepare before or recover after, you're probably an introvert, and if you have to go out and socialize in order to unwind from time by yourself, you're probably an extrovert)... and if that's the case, I'm probably a true "ambivert" (someone who displays both introvert and extrovert tendencies) because I usually need a balance of the two things. If I spend too much time at home, I get antsy and want to go out and get energized from seeing friends and family. But if I spend too much time around other people, I get anxious and want to go home and veg on the couch. |
